Sunday we continued in Week 2 of our series: “Reset: Jesus Changes Everything.” Each week in this series is themed around a short one-line prayer. The first week was, “Jesus reset my heart,” and; this past Sunday we prayed, “Jesus reset my mind.”
Our thinking controls everything that we do, so it is vital that Jesus transforms our thinking and takes hold of our thoughts. This is not something that is easily done. But, as we said on Sunday, we must do like the Apostle Paul tells us in Phil. 4:8 and fix our minds on things that are “true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.”
One of the problems we have is that there is so much “noise” from the world around us that is the exact opposite of those things that Paul encourages us to do. One of the reasons we struggle to find positive things to dwell on in our mind is because we are not filling it with the proper things to dwell on.
After Sunday my hope is that your mind is being reset. But, I know this is only possible if your heart is being reset and you are filling your mind with God-honoring material.
Meditate on God’s Word and let those reflections lead in the resetting of your mind!
